A profitable architect recognized for his fashionable designs, Pei was requested by the French president to revamp the Louvre Museum in Paris, residence to the Mona Lisa and now well-known for the glass pyramid at its middle. On the time, the Louvre had many issues and no pyramid.

Decided to succeed and make the Louvre a welcome place for all, Pei labored exhausting—and typically in secret. That is the story of a visionary who labored patiently and persistently to unravel issues and obtain his targets: to plant and develop a glass pyramid.
