1)  The setting. I’m all the time drawn to novels set in Cornwall.

2)  The twin time line with ‘gothic’ vibes.

3) The title. I often gravitate towards books with the phrase ‘home’ within the title, I don’t know why. And this one is close to the ocean…

4) I very often take pleasure in books with boarding faculties within the story.
