Booktalk: Poor Asiwa—time is working out! She and 7 different uncommon Nubian giraffes have peacefully lived on a peninsula that juts out into Lake Baringo in Kenya. However now relentless rain and rising floodwaters have turned their dwelling into an island. Meals is working out. It’s particularly determined for Asiwa because the water has stranded her away from the opposite giraffes. She is alone and frightened. If the giraffes aren’t rescued, this endangered breed shall be one step nearer to extinction.

However how does one transport an nearly 20-foot-tall wild animal? With a GiRaft, in fact! An alliance of wildlife rangers, conservancies, and area people members work to create a flotational craft particularly to ferry the giraffes to a brand new dwelling. Will Asiwa and her herd get on board?
