narrated by J. Smith-Cameron“Three Days in June” by Anne Tyler – #AudiobookReview #BookReview #ThreeDaysInJune #LibbyApp #BooksOnTapepublisher's description of "Three Days in June" by Anne Tylermy thoughts on this novel

After years and years of studying fiction, I’m ashamed to say that that is my first time studying the work of Anne Tyler.

This novel was entertaining and thought scary. The primary subject was marriage – each previous, new, damaged, and repaired.  The best way we as human’s are inclined to gravitate towards the recognized. How the camaraderie and luxury of a long-standing relationship might be precisely what we want – particularly in instances of emotional upheaval.

Gail was a considerably quirky character. She was at instances brusque and appeared socially awkward, however beneath that exterior she was weak and fairly heat.  I preferred the ex-husband, Max. He was concurrently erratic and steadfast. And the cat… I liked the cat.

Even though the characterization was top-notch, the story fell a bit flat for me. The marriage of Gail’s daughter, Debbie, appeared haphazard and fairly most likely misguided.

As I’m late to the get together in the case of studying the literary titan that’s Anne Tyler, I consider I ought to have began with certainly one of her earlier works. Maybe the writer is so in awe of her status that something written by her will robotically be revealed…

In summation, this brief pay attention (4 hours), was entertaining, however lacked any actual depth in my humble opinion. Thoughts you, there have been a couple of poignant moments amidst the chaos of 1 wedding ceremony weekend in June. A brief research of difficult household dynamics.
